Community Guidelines

1. Be Respectful

Treat artists, listeners, contributors, and other members of the community with respect. Disagreements about music, lyrics, or opinions should remain constructive.

2. No Harassment or Threats

Do not use Pawòl Ayiti to harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or repeatedly target another person.

3. No Hate or Abusive Content

Content that attacks or promotes hatred toward people based on protected characteristics is not permitted. Content that encourages violence or serious harm is also prohibited.

4. Keep Artist Information Accurate

Do not intentionally create misleading artist profiles or submit false information about an artist's identity, biography, affiliations, releases, or other important profile information.

Do not impersonate an artist, label, manager, publisher, or other rights holder.

5. Lyrics and Annotations

Lyrics, annotations, explanations, and other music-related contributions should be submitted in good faith and should not intentionally misrepresent an artist's work or meaning.

Do not use annotations as a way to harass artists or other community members.

6. Respect Copyright

Only submit material that you have the right or authorization to submit. This includes lyrics, images, artwork, biographies, annotations, and other copyrighted material.

Copyright complaints can be submitted through the Copyright & DMCA process.

7. No Spam or Manipulation

Do not flood the platform with repetitive submissions, automated spam, fake activity, misleading links, or other attempts to manipulate visibility, engagement, or community features.

8. No Malicious or Unauthorized Activity

Do not attempt to access accounts, data, administrative tools, or systems that you are not authorized to access. Do not upload malware or intentionally interfere with the operation or security of Pawòl Ayiti.

9. Keep Contributions Music-Focused

Contributions should generally relate to Haitian music, artists, songs, albums, lyrics, musical culture, or the features of the Pawòl Ayiti community.

Avoid using artist profiles, song pages, annotations, or other community features for unrelated advertising or personal promotion.

10. Reporting Problems

If you see content that appears to violate these guidelines, copyright law, or the Terms of Use, report it through the contact or reporting method provided by Pawòl Ayiti.

Reports should be made in good faith and should include enough information for the issue to be reviewed.

11. Moderation and Enforcement

Depending on the circumstances, Pawòl Ayiti may review reported content, request corrections, restrict visibility, remove content, limit account features, suspend accounts, or take other reasonable action.

Enforcement may depend on the seriousness and context of the conduct, applicable law, and whether there is a pattern of violations.

12. Appeals and Corrections

If you believe content was removed or an account action was made in error, you may contact Pawòl Ayiti with relevant information explaining the situation.
